Carclo Technical Plastics (CTP) designs, moulds and markets optical, plastic components for a variety of industries encompassing, LED optics, automotive, medical, telecommunications and low-vision magnifiers.
CTP has always been at the leading edge of optical technology since its foundation in 1936: such development has seen us placed at the forefront of its class. Today CTP boasts unrivalled expertise in optical design and manufacture. It has its own optical design department with full CAD facility and applications software. In addition, it has specialist tooling and optical polishing capabilities with considerable experience in processes such as protective coatings, pad printing and in-mould foil which are all carried out on site. Currently 58% of CTP turnover is for export and it is anticipated that this percentage will continue to grow.
Recent advances in High Power LED technology have lead CTP to develop a range of high efficiency Collimator Lenses complemented by a range of holders for all the popular LED package types.
Carclo-Optics is BS EN ISO 9001 accredited. We are the oldest plastic lens manufacturer in the world.
We are expanding our Optical mould into a truly global foot print of the group so are now moulding Optical parts in 4 sites in the UK 1 site in the US and 1 site in China. We can therefore support customers from the closest plant no other optical moulder can offer this.
