Dr Jim Perkins is based in National Semiconductor’s UK Office in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, where he is responsible for coordinating technical support for all National products and advises the North Europe team on LED driving solutions. Jim joined National in 2006 and has over 12 years experience of field applications support for power and analog ICs. Prior to this, Jim worked as a design engineer for television set-top boxes and precision test and measurement instrumentation.
He holds a Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Doctorate in high speed InGaAs/InP semiconductor processing from the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds.
