Dr Gareth Jones is currently a consultant for the Photonics and Plastic Electronics KTN representing Lighting and Energy Efficiency. He is also Chief Technology Officer at Enfis Group plc. Enfis is a leader in the design and manufacture of intelligent high power LED arrays and smart light engines.The products combine the numerous advantages of LEDs as a light source with our patent-pending SMART array feedback technology for use in a growing number of energy efficient lighting applications.
Gareth is a member of the UK Photonics Leadership Group (PLG) a body reporting to the UK government advising on the photonics industry and a steering group member of the Photonics and Plastic Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network. He is a director of the Welsh Ultra-Efficient Lighting Centre.
Gareth has 20 years experience in the technology of semiconductor based optoelectronic components such as laser diodes and high brightness LEDs and has published a number of papers in peer reviewed journals and presented at numerous international conferences. He is author of over 20 patents.
