Dr Andrew Davies graduated from Reading University with a doctorate in Chemistry and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Computer Science. He is a qualified chartered chemist and is an active member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He also has 15 publications to his name comprising of eight papers and seven patents.With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the lighting industry, Andrew has been at the forefront of innovative and energy efficient lighting design with GE Lighting. He was awarded the Best Lamp Award at the 2006 Lightfair Tradeshow for the CMH Precise MR16 lamp. In addition, Andrew won Best New HID Product for two years running in 2004 and 2005 at Lightfair. In March 2009, Andrew received the Lighting Design Award for Vio LED. For the last 3 years, Andrew has taken the role of Senior Product Manager for LED and Lamp Systems for EMEA.
